There's no disagreement that Marvel is one of the biggest loved superhero sci-fi thing. If no one has ever seen a marvel movie, or read a comic from Marvel you still recognize the name "Marvel" because it is so known worldwide. The first movie to be released by Marvel studios was "Iron Man"  and this movie was very successful and was a stepping stone to Marvel's great success. This movie is what started the whole avengers scene and let to more storylines, and heroes with now 26 movies in total.  In figure 1,  this represents the chronological timeline order of the Marvel  movies so that you can get a better understanding of what it is happening. Marvel fandom is still highly active since Marvel have new movies coming out so theres plenty things that the Marvel fandoms talk about it is very easy to get into these fandoms.



The first way people can be introduced into the fandom is by watching the movies/tv shows that are out, or by reading the huge supply of comic books that they have. Marvel has a lot of storytelling and immersive backgrounds so that you can really connect to a. character. How to explore the Marvel universe is by through social media.  There are a lot of forms about Marvel, and its characters through Reddit, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter,  and an app called Discord. There's a YouTube channel called "Comics Explained" and they talk about the comics of the marvel universe,  and it is really interesting to watch and what they talk about. There's also plenty of videos on the internet that talk about the movies, and tv shows of the Marvel cinematic universe. With reddit, twitter, facebook,  and discord groups they talk about whats next for marvel, things they like, things that could use a change, talk about upcoming tv shows, etc. There's endless things people talk about on these discussion boards/groups, and it is very easy to get your opinion out there, or join groups.  This video shared below talks about the full story of the marvel universe.


Recently,  Marvel added to their fandom by adding a game called "Marvel Avengers". The game didn't do that well at launch and peoples expectations were high but the game kind of fumbled. But this wasn't the first time they have made a game. There's multiple games they have released with our marvel characters, and they have been successful, and marvel, has expanded their fandom by this Figure 2, the game marvel released that did not meet peoples expectations.


Another way people explore and expand their love for Marvel is by cosplaying as their favorite characters, and going these conventions, and meeting other fans who have the same love for Marvel as well as the other person. People dress themselves up as, Captain America, Iron man, Black widow, Thor, Hulk, and so on people always have favorites. How you can get involved in cosplaying with other people is attending comic cons throughout the year a lot of people go to these things to express how much love they have for these things. Figure 3, can see how these people have the love for the characters that they dress up as.




Marvel Fandom Website

With the extraordinary large fan base marvel has they have a wiki page with everything marvel. Movies, tv shows, games, villains, superheroes, comics, and comes with loads of discussion forms where people are active daily talking about marvel. Has over 200,000 articles, the website was created in 2005 and still very active. If someone is interested about a character they can just search the character they have every character in the marvel universe. People of the marvel fandom would add articles about the marvel universe or edit articles to have accurate information. This website is very good with explaining everything that has happened in the marvel universe or what is upcoming in the marvel universe for any new fans new to the fandom and also learn about your favorite character. In figure 4 this picture on the website shows every marvel character hero and villain. 



Fan Art
Another way on how people express their fandom of marvel is people of this fandom create fan art of movie covers, or drawings of their favorite characters. Figure 4, can see a fan created a movie cover of "Avengers Endgame". There are multiple fan covers of movies that have been released by Marvel. Figure 5, fan art of the new movie releasing for marvel "Spider Man No Way Home".

The Star Wars Fandom      Star Wars is perhaps one of the most popular and successful franchises of all time. Even if someone doesn't know much about Star Wars, the name is still recognizable and exposure to some sort of Star Wars media is almost inevitable. The Smilers Figure 1: Miley from a recent photoshoot   I have been a fan of Miley Cyrus ever since I was very young. I remember feeling a rush of pure excitement whenever watching her TV show, Hannah Montana. Later on in life, after her show TV ended, I found myself continuing to love everything that she did, whether it was music or starring in a movie. Over the years, not only has she become my all time favorite artist but someone that I admire and look up to.
